Easy To Operate
Our tilt and turn windows are incredibly east to operate. A simple quarter turn of the handle allows you to tilt the windows inwards using the hinges on the bottom of the windows. Then another quarter turn upwards allows you to fully open the window inwards using the side hinges.
Building Regulations
The tilt and turn window is especially useful in the upper floors of a property. This is because building regulations in Scotland state that rooms not on ground floor level must have windows that can operate as exits incase of fire. Building regulations also state that you must be able to stand inside your home and clean the outside of your window. None of the above regulations would be met if for example a non-opening window was installed above ground floor level, therefore a tilt and turn window is ideal for upstairs bedrooms etc.
